I went to Erin's yesterday. Hour bus each way.
My niece is going to be 15 in two days. Oh my god. We're all so old now.
So I get there, and Erin's tells me to go downstairs to say hi to her and her friend. I do, wasn't expecting to see some 17 year old bald guy sitting beside her on the sofa. She's got taste.
The day went sort of like this.
Erin: oh Gibby, I think I need to do laundry. I'll be back in a moment. (she goes downstairs to the basement where Niece and her "friend" are then comes back up.)
fifteen minutes goes by.
Erin: Oh Gibby, I need some green beans they're downstairs in the freezer be back in a minute. (again she goes downstairs to the basement where Niece and her "friend" are then comes back up)
Few minutes go past. She goes to the stairs and calls down to them if they want anything to eat. Of course she could not hear them, though I heard them fine when they said no, so she went all the way downstairs again. Then she had to go get the laundry she had put in awhile before.
Sneaky mommy, checking to make sure all is fine without really checking.
But, hey teenaged daughter I would be checking every few minutes too. My niece is a pretty decent minded kid, I don't think they will have any issues with her. But still, teenaged daughter.
